One organ less...

So it's been 8 days since I had about 3/4 of my thyroid removed. Mainly it was because of the organ getting larger and larger, plus there  were a lot of nodes (is that the correct medical expression?). Anyway, now I am home again with a scar on my throat (about two centimeters), being away from work until after two weeks post surgery. I have been prescribed Eurythrox 50 (half a pill every morning) and besides the dizzy feelings caused by the sudden lack of calcium, I feel ok. This is because the surgeon did a pretty good job, and also because of big support from friends who accompanied me, visited me, gave me nice gifts and were just there for me.

In the first week of August my blood will be screened again for the thyroid and calcium values in order to newly adjust the medication. Until then, I will stick with what's there :-)

Ok, so after the examination you will know more. I had this examination in June, it was good because the Doc talked to me immediately after it was all over and told me the first results he had. Anyway, I am wishing you good luck. Everything will be fine:-)
